In November 2024, the BLD Cebu Youth Ministry brought faith into action through a Corporal Work of Mercy in Quiot Pardo, reaching out to abandoned girls in Cebu. The youth shared food, essential items, and—most importantly—their time and presence with the residents. Through storytelling, games, and prayer, they communicated God’s message of love, healing, and hope to those who have experienced deep hardship.
The immersion was transformative for the youth, opening their eyes to the realities of poverty, neglect, and brokenness in society. By directly engaging with the girls, they not only offered material support but also formed genuine human connections rooted in compassion. This encounter reminded them that spiritual nourishment is not confined to church walls but is best lived out in serving “the least of these.”
